How to Adjust Vehicle Sensitivity Settings

What are vehicle sensitivity settings?

Vehicle sensitivity settings let you adjust each vehicle's alert thresholds and sensitivity levels, so you only receive notifications that matter most. To learn how to create notifications for driver behavior alerts, click here.
  • Select the speed threshold that will trigger a notification when a vehicle exceeds it.
  • Set how many mph over the posted speed limit a vehicle must be traveling before triggering a notification.
  • Select the fuel percentage at which a vehicle will trigger a low fuel notification.
  • Select the sensitivity level that will trigger a notification when a vehicle's acceleration rate suddenly increases.
  • Select the sensitivity level that will trigger a notification when a vehicle's brakes are applied too hard.

Web App Instructions

Step 1. Log in to the All Aware Desktop App

Step 2. Click Settings in the left sidebar

Step 3. Click Manage Devices

Step 4. Find the vehicle you want to adjust, then click the ••• icon next to its name

Step 5. Click Device Settings

Step 6. Adjust Excessive Speed Threshold

If you have set up driver behavior alerts for excessive speed, you will receive a notification every time the set speed is exceeded. To avoid receiving too many notifications, we recommend setting the Excessive Speed Threshold at 10 mph over the highest posted speed limit the vehicle will regularly encounter. For example, if a vehicle frequently travels on interstate highways with a posted speed limit of 75 mph, setting the threshold to 85 mph will account for minor speed fluctuations and normal variations in traffic flow. For vehicles that regularly haul significant loads, you may want to set a lower threshold to better monitor vehicle wear and driver safety.

Step 7. ⚡️NEW! Set Speed Limit Exceeded Threshold

  • Use the slider to set how many mph over the posted speed limit should trigger a notification. For example, setting this to 5 mph means a driver on a 35 mph road would trigger an alert at 40 mph.

Step 8. Set Low Fuel Level

  • Adjust the fuel level percentage at which you would like to receive a low fuel alert. You can set this anywhere between 5% and 50%.

Step 9. Set Sudden Acceleration Sensitivity

  • The higher the sensitivity, the more likely you are to receive sudden acceleration notifications.

Step 10. Set Hard Braking Sensitivity

  • The higher the sensitivity, the more likely you are to receive hard braking notifications.
